Cut and Color on Vacation

This morning I took a huge risk by walking into the hotel's hair salon and asking for layers and highlights. Tricky on my dark, thick hair.

The salon was empty. Probably because women in their right minds stick to their tried and true people at home.

Well, as an Army wife, I move around too much and don't have tried and true people at home. I have a favorite salon I visit when in Denver but that is once a year if I'm lucky.

So, I took a risk. My stylist spoke very little English so she had me show my picture to another lady for translation. My picture required layers. Did I really want them? Yes, yes I did.

I think it turned out pretty nice. I won't know for sure until I've tried to work with it myself but I don't have any complaints so far.

Pfew!

Have you ever had completely random people work on your hair?

  1. That's usually how I find my stylists but I'm 'easy' simple cut and some color ~ nothing fancy!

    1. Usually I'll start with something easy like an all-over color and a trim with someone new. This time I went a little crazy but I wasn't sorry.
