Kenny got to come back from Iraq for two weeks to visit us. I thought it would be nice to meet up somewhere instead of having him come home. That way I could explain to Sophie that we were meeting Daddy for vacation and then he would go back to Iraq and we would go home.Highlights of our trip included going to the Disney Princesses on Ice show, the Shark Reef aquarium, sledding, building a snowman, and hiking at Sedona and the Grand Canyon, and just spending time together after eight months apart.
All too soon our visit was over and we had to send Kenny back. But, this time he will be gone less than four months. And some happy things happened the day he left. We found out he was picked up for promotion to Major. And when we got home Sophie went potty on the regular toilet for the first time. She had just been using her potty chair. I was thrilled to reach another big milestone in the potty training process. We've been working at it since her birthday on October 1st. It has been slow going. I don't know what I'll do when she just goes potty on any potty without my help!
