Sophie went potty in the toilet today for the first time. I don't know if we're officially potty training yet, but I have her sit on it a couple of times a day. Nothing usually comes out. I saw that she was making poopies and I took her by the hand and ran to the bathroom. She still had a little poop and some pee left to go in the toilet. So, she's a big girl.
Grammy was here last week for a visit, and Grandpa was able to spend a couple of days too. They got to go with Sophie to music class and see how well she kicks a soccer ball. She added two new words to her limited vocabulary...hot and more. She is quite sophisticated with the word hot though. She can say that her food is hot, that the ground outside is hot, and that the temperature in the car is hot.
She gets scared of things sometimes. Kenny showed her a ladybug and some ants outside. She wasn't scared of the ladybug but she was very scared of the ants. She was terrified of a feather boa in the toy section of the PX. Guess she thought it was alive.
She is very sweet. She says "eeeee" when she gives hugs. Sometimes she gives us hugs, but mostly she likes to hug her stuffed animals and pictures of animals in books. She loves dogs. When she sees a dog outside she'll scream doggy and then say ruff-ruff.
