Sophia Update - More Affectionate

Sophie is starting to be a bit more affectionate. She smiles and waves hello and goodbye. She has started to say hi to us and not just Kicsi. ("Hi Kicsi" was one of her first phrases. ) She hugs us now and not just her doll and stuffed animals.

I don't know if she's had a growth spurt or what, but this morning she was really clumsy. She grazed her cheek with the corner of the bathroom cabinet this morning. She tripped and fell down in the store. She fell running outside. Falling a lot wasn't unusual when she was first learning to walk, but it seems a little strange now. Maybe she was still sleepy. She only took a 15 minute nap yesterday. She's napping better now so I'm relieved. Kenny said he stopped taking naps around two years old. I need Sophie to take naps until she goes to school! I need the time to get things done. She won't let me be on the computer at all, but she doesn't care if Kenny does things on the computer. When I try to even look at something briefly she cries and grabs at the mouse and keyboard. When Kenny does his business on the computer she wanders off and plays with her toys. Kenny probably thinks I have all kinds of time to do things during the day.

  1. Falling is part of growing up. I used to freak out every time ashlyn fell down and get scraped, now she falls down all the time and its like '' eh whatever'' as long as shes not bleeding profusely or doesnt have any broken bones then its ok to let them fall. Ashlyn does the same thing with the computer, she wants to see what we are doing and gets mad when she thinks shes being left out of the picture, so i have to leave what im doing on the computer and go play with her for a little while then go back to it. She also took a 5 minute nap today. Dont feel so bad your house has a little one in it, its NOT supposed to be entirely spotless. Clean is good, spotless will never happen until shes in school. And even if you do get it spotless, she'll just mess it up again, shes a kid, kids do that. (so do husbands come to think about it) Give the little rugrat a hug and kiss for me. I miss you all. Just remember, she will continue to fall on her knogin, and as long as nothing is broken or bleeding to bad, she'll get over it and its probably not as bad as it looks.
